Optimize FAQs

1. Does the order level auth rate include customers who succeeded with a different payment type?

Yes, order-level authorization rates will be independent of payment methods, as they are tied to the customer's order ID.

2. Which payment processor does optimize support?

inai offers no-code integration with Adyen, Stripe, Braintree, Paypal, and Cybersource.

If you process payments through one of the following processors, contact our accounts team (customer.success@inai.io) for assistance with integration:

  • Checkout
  • Jp Morgan (Chase Paymentech, WePay, Orbital Payment Gateway, Global Payment Gateway)
  • Worldpay
  • Worldline
  • Fiserv

If your processor isn't listed above, contact us for an estimate of when we may have a no-code connection available for you at: customer.success@inai.io

3. How soon will I see my data in the Optimize dashboard?
Once you've completed integration with the payment processors, Inai will process your data in real-time (with a maximum delay of 60 minutes) to provide actionable insights and observability.
4. Does order retry auth rate factor payment routing from multiple payment processors for retry attempts?
Yes, we do support this functionality. However, to make it possible, you must maintain a consistent customer order ID across multiple Payment Service Providers (PSPs). We use this ID to extrapolate and populate the data.

If the customer's Order ID isn't consistent across different PSPs, we will consider various dimensions and metadata. These include the customer's IP address, currency, card type, device fingerprint, time, card value, and card bin, among others.
5. Do I need to configure each merchant account from a Payment Service Provider (PSP) on Optimize?

Yes, each merchant account requires individual configuration on Optimize. For example, if you have 10 merchant accounts, each one needs a separate setup on Optimize.

If you have double-digit merchant accounts, please contact customer.success@inai.io to expedite the connection process.

Inai’s security measures exceed industry standards for data protection and security. We are PCI DSS level-1, Soc II, GDPR, and ISO 27001 compliant.

7. Does Inai collect non-payment data from Payment Service Providers (PSPs)?

Inai does not control what data is sent to us, as we simply receive a copy of all data sent to your PSPs.  You have the option not to provide this information to your PSPs and therefore inai. If this information is given to your payment provider and we receive it, we won't store it in our databases. When you input the keys to connect with the payment service provider, we specifically ask for your consent to capture your users' non-payment data.

8. What types of payment data are collected from Payment Service Providers (PSPs)?

Inai receives information on the payment provider, payment method, and associated details such as card brand, expiry date, and the first 6 or 8 digits of the card number, which can be used to provide BIN-level insights on your payment KPIs.

9. Does Inai offer access to delete data on a per-customer basis?

If you need to delete information for individual customers - for example, if a user has churned and requests their data to be erased from your database and related services - Inai provides an API to accommodate this. However, if you do not provide Inai with this information, there will be no means for you to relay to our systems the unique identifier that permits a user record to be deleted.

10. Does Inai permanently delete data after contract termination?

In cases where you want Inai to purge all the data, in the event of termination of the relationship with Inai or for other reasons, the team at Inai will permanently remove all records of the data from its servers.

11. What are the locations of AWS centers?

Inai utilizes AWS data centers located in the United States, Europe and various other regions. This ensures that data storage complies with local laws, particularly regarding payment data. Customers are given the flexibility to select the exact location for hosting their Service Data as required.

12. Upon successful integration with PSPs, does Inai show observability for historical data?

The availability of historical data typically depends on the type of Payment Service Provider (PSP). If your chosen PSP provides historical data via APIs, we will provide observability. Adyen, for example, does not make historical data available via APIs.

13. How can inai help reduce involuntary churn?

Inai leverages your payment data to segregate decline codes from processors, issuers, and acquirers. By combining this with our knowledge gained from handling billions of data points, we filter out noise and identify transactions that can be successfully retrieved.

Based on insights from Optimize, you can further refine your retry strategy by retry time, BIN, issuer, and customer segment.

14. Does Optimize provide insights for both online and offline payments?

Yes, Inai optimize can be used for online as well as offline payments.
